Make Money Blogging--Don't Make This Mistake When You Monetize Your Blog

On piece of advice that I see being perpetuated among the A-Lister blogs is to mix different types of monetization on your blogs. I see it all the time. It blows my mind that this is the prevailing wisdom of the day but it is. The idea is that since it is unwise to put all of your eggs in to one basket, people seem to think that it is a good idea to mix adsense with affiliate banners and links. This is so far from being good advice that it makes me laugh. And to think that most bloggers are sitting around telling each other this stuff like they know it to be true. What a joke!If you are one of these bloggers then this is your lucky day. You have found yourself an article that is destined to wise you up...and for free at that. This is not a $47 ebook is it? You never ever want to put affiliate banners and ads or links on your site if you are also working adsense. The reason is simple
With adsense, which can be very complicated to fully understand by the way, your income is largely determined by your ctr. A better ctr means you'll make more money. CTR is your 'click through rate'. This is the number of clicks versus the number of times the ad has been shown. When an ad shows it is called an impression. so if one hundred people come to your site and 4 of them click an ad, then your ctr is %4
You don't want your ctr to suffer because then it may lead to your ads getting smart priced. This is when ads that were paying your three dollars per click are now, suddenly, only paying ten cents a click. This can happen if your ctr is really low. Google protects the high paying advertisers from having to pay top dollar to sites that don't convert well for their ads. It is called both value pricing and smart pricing. Lots of folks just call it getting priced. So if you are going to work adsense and affiliate products that is OK, in fact you should diversify your income streams...just not on the same site! Your affiliate publisher doesn't care about how many impressions the banner gets since you only get paid when something sells. However, your adsense will suffer greatly if everyone keeps clicking your affiliate ads
You might wonder why this is so bad since you would still be making money anyway, just not from adsense. Some of you out there might think, "So what? I didn't get a two dollar click but I got a forty dollar affiliate sale instead...what is the problem?" The problem is that if just one page of your blog network gets priced it affects your whole network! That means ALL of your sites will have three or five cent ads! Now we are talking about some serious damage to a very important income stream! So just remember never to mix your affiliate banners and ads with with adsense ads. Don't let them compete against each other. Either work one type of monetization or another.

Success Is Finding Your Career Focus

"Success Is Finding Your Career Focus"

By: Don Monteith

What are your career goals? Have you made the decision to never give up regardless of the challenges? Only YOU can take action everyday that will make a difference in your future success. Some of us get weary trying to restart our career but we have no choice if we're to move up the ladder of success in the future.

Many times you may have made wrong turns in the road but got back up again. Never, never, never give up is key to your future success. None of us are guaranteed anything in the workplace. Even when we've done great work and exceeded all the usual expectations of the boss... we can still get outsourced ' downsized or simply fired for no good reason without recourse.

Get back up and go again. It's their loss for not having you as a career employee. Your good attitude will carry you on to the next level of success in your career path. Nothing can stop you.

Only once in my long career was I fired from my position but it turned out to be the BEST thing to happen for me... and to their demise [failure].

You are the IN-CHARGE person to make decisions about your future career path. Don't let folks tell you otherwise. As you've heard before, if YOU don't do it then it'll never get done... understand that no one will do it for you.

Each step or action you take is one move closer to your career journey arrival... it's like a road map on your way to your destination.

Over and over.... it's all about TAKING ACTION. Everything you read is... "losers wait for a miracle while the action taker gets the job."

Which one are you? Are you a procrastinator? Take responsibility for yourself by getting up and moving forward with action?

Success may mean making 100 phone calls; 150 or even more resumes may be required by the business community before you are successful; 20 interviews may be in your future to arrive at your new career position... does it matter? Not really if you get the end results desired.

Your #1 goal is to have SUCCESS in the search for your Dream Job. Do not let anything or anyone get you sidetracked. It's all about FOCUS, so if you have ADHD or ADD... get professional help. There's nothing wrong with asking for guidance in your career search.

Methods change - there are some who use VIDEOS - audio - the latest in marketing techniques to promote YOU to a possible new employer. There's NO guarantee that one idea or method will work better than any of the others.

DO something EVERYDAY. It may even be the wrong "something" but better than sitting around feeling sorry for yourself and wasting valuable time.

You're losing income every day of unemployment or staying in the wrong career path. Get focused on your journey now, not later.

Baby Jumperoo

THIS IS NEW BLOG FOR NEW POST 17 JUNE 2008
Tommorrow will post

NOW SUGGEST JUMPEROO TOYS.

We were between this Jumperoo and another one that has 4 support poles as the base. The square Jumperoo didn't have nearly as many toys for her to discover and it seemed to take up much more space. We decided on this Jumperoo because it took up less room and had more toys for only slightly more money. The investment was worth it for just the first 10 minutes of fun! When we first put her in, she wasn't quite sure what to make of it and just looked around at the toys grabbing for them. After she realized (in the first 2 minutes) that she could jump, she did with great joy. Her face was all smiles and watching her kick her feet out while jumping had us all rolling on the floor hysterically. The toys she likes best are the ones that spin and she reaches for the parrot and frog that hang. The tiger that comes up when you push on the button seems pretty useless, as does the color wheel.

Wonderful Item, June 9, 2008
I bought this BabyJumperoo for my niece and she absolutely loves it. She was 5 months old and she quickly figured out how it works. The animal sounds are great as well. She started trying to imitate the elephant noise and this was the first she had really made loud noises. She will sit in it for about an hour at a time and then gets tired and either wants out or falls asleep in it. It has a great head rest for then to lean back on. I would definetly recommend!
